When We Trust the Wrong Voice — The Pitfall of Doubting God’s Word
It starts small — a thought, a worry, a quiet “did God really say that?” just like it did in the garden.
When we don’t hold fast to His Word, we leave space for lies to take root. Lies like:
- I’m too far gone for God to use me
- This situation will never change
- I have to fix everything myself
- God doesn’t see me or care
These thoughts feel real but they are not truth. And when we live by them, we walk away from the life He promised.
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17
If you don’t feed your mind with His truth, something else will fill it — fear, insecurity, the world’s noise. And those things never lead to peace.
Don’t let a temporary feeling become your permanent belief. When a thought contradicts what God says — reject it. Replace it. Speak His truth over yourself. His Word stands when everything else falls apart. Trust it above every other voice. 🙏
